Decorative concrete from The Slab Lab Concrete Studio is versatile and beautiful.
Each project is poured to meet the customer’s needs.
Though it was introduced in the US over 30 years ago, it has only been in the last few years that concrete countertops and sinks have started to make an impression on the kitchen and bath industry. Concrete offers an unmatched flexibility in color, visual texture, shape and design.
Says Eric Cohen, owner of the Slab Lab Concrete Studio, “Because we pour each project specifically for the customer, we’re able to create custom one-of-a-kind objects that perfectly match the environment they are designed for. In bathrooms and powder rooms, we can create one-of -a-kind sink shapes that just aren’t available in other materials…waves, spirals, ramps… in nearly any color imaginable, integrated right into the countertop.” The Studio controls the ingredients for each pour, and can add crushed glass, river stones, tiny seashells, as well as myriad other materials.
Decorative concrete is primarily used for countertops and sinks, but it is also suited for use as fireplace surrounds, shower floors, curbs, backsplash panels and many other applications.
