Tradition and edginess thrive in the work of folk art sculptor Mark A. Perry
His inspiration comes from antique folk art.
The sculptural carvings of Mark A. Perry are inspired by the resonating power of antique folk art masterworks and the passionate spirit with which they were made. His bold and direct sculptures continue a tradition of American craftsmanship while clearly making a place of their own in today’s contemporary world.
Perry began his work on Nantucket Island where he lived for many years. His work can be found in extraordinary contemporary and antique folk art collections on the island, throughout New England and beyond. Most recently he can be found exhibiting, as a juried member, in the Architectural Digest Show in New York City, each March.
